I've been made an Assistant Coordinator. What does this mean?
In larger schools, or where more than one person is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Great Teaching Toolkit, it can be useful to have multiple people acting in a Coordinator role.
The role of the Assistant Coordinator varies from school to school, but usually includes:
- Providing day-to-day support for colleagues using the platform, answering routine questions, and assisting with registration, teams, and other administrative tasks.
- Working alongside the Coordinator to promote staff engagement, monitor progress through development cycles, and support the smooth implementation of the GTT across the school.
Assistant Coordinators have access to the same School Management page as the Coordinator, and can view, update and add information in the same way. This includes:
- Details of teachers registered on the GTT at your school and the link to share with those wishing to sign up
- Progress information about the teachers in your school, including updates on learning milestones, development cycles and feedback tools used
- Ability to set up and add colleagues to teams to facilitate collaboration
- Access to aggregated school-level feedback from the student surveys (once 5 or more staff have completed the same survey).
Take time to discuss with your Coordinator what your responsibilities will be and how you'll work together to support your team in getting the most out of the Great Teaching Toolkit.
