What will I do in the ‘Explore’ phase?
The Great Teaching Toolkit development cycle is a four-stage, evidence-informed process that supports personalised professional development by helping teachers set goals, build understanding, develop skills, and reflect on changes in their practice. It is a personal space for teachers to record and reflect on their own professional development, and the content can only be viewed by the teacher, unless they choose to share it.
In the second phase of the development cycle, you build your knowledge and understanding to support your goal. Using curated GTT resources, you will:
- Engage with courses, research, and professional reading
- Explore evidence-informed teaching techniques
- Reflect on your learning so far
- Identify practical next steps
After selecting a technique to implement in your classroom, you’ll move on to the ‘Develop expertise’ phase, but you can always return to this page to access your learning materials and explore further.
