When should I review my progress?

The Great Teaching Toolkit development cycle is a three-stage, evidence-informed process that supports personalised professional development by helping teachers set goals, build understanding, develop skills, and reflect on changes in their practice. It is a personal space for teachers to record and reflect on their own professional development, and the content can only be viewed by the teacher, unless they choose to share it.

At any stage of the development cycle, you can choose to review your progress. Here you will be able to:

    • Revisit your original goal and success indicators
    • Reflect on your progress and outcomes
    • Collate feedback, evidence and key insights
    • Set next steps for development

A review does not always mean the end of your development cycle; in fact, a review can be completed as often as you like. Many teachers choose to complete a review at the end of a school term, or to support in developmental conversations with line managers. You’ll be able to decide what to include from your learning log in your review and if you would like to export it for sharing.
Each review will be saved for you to view, edit or delete at any time.
