While some courses are more closely aligned to particular roles, **nothing is off limits**. We believe high-quality professional learning should be accessible to all staff, regardless of their role. Your school may also choose to recommend particular courses or learning pathways for different staff groups, depending on your school's priorities and professional development needs. So, it's worth speaking to your school's coordinator before you begin.  If you are choosing your own course, the best starting point is to think about **what you would like to develop in your own practice**. In particular, you might begin by considering which of the **dimensions or elements of the Model for Great Teaching** you would like to focus on. There are several ways you can identify an area for development: - [**Explore the Model for Great Teaching**](https://toolkit.greatteaching.com/model-for-great-teaching)to understand the different dimensions and elements of great teaching and consider which areas are most relevant to your practice. - [**Use our feedback tools**](https://toolkit.greatteaching.com/my-feedback-tools) to gather evidence and feedback about your current practice and identify potential areas for development. - **Talk to colleagues or your team** about your practice, priorities and areas where you would like to develop. Once you have identified an area to focus on, explore the courses available in the Toolkit. You can use the **course dashboard** to hover over each course and preview its content before deciding where to start. The **Foundation Course** is a useful starting point, particularly if you are new to the Great Teaching Toolkit or want to develop your understanding of the science of learning and the Model for Great Teaching. The **Inclusive Education Course** is particularly useful for anyone focusing on inclusive practice. It is designed to be relevant across a range of roles and contexts.   The courses are **asynchronous and not time-limited**, so you can work through them at a pace that suits you.
