How do I use the Lesson Recording tool?

The tool is designed to be simple and flexible. You can securely record a lesson using any device with a camera and internet connection.

The steps below show the basic flow. 

1. Log into PRISM.
2. Navigate to the ‘Lesson Recording’ tab from the main menu and complete multi-factor authentication.
3. Click ‘New recording’, enter class details and review sharing preferences.
4. Place the device at the front of the classroom, focused on you.
5. Start recording.

You can then watch the recording back yourself. If shared, mentors can watch it in their own time and use it to support focused mentor conversations in your regular mentor meeting. 

The tool does not replace in‑person observations; it’s designed to complement them.
