What happens if a school withdraws consent?

A school can change its decision later by returning to the permissions page in PRISM. If the school withdraws consent, the Lesson Recording tool will no longer remain enabled for that school.

• ECTs and mentors will no longer be able to use the Lesson Recording tool for new recordings.
• The school should tell ECTs and mentors that the tool has been withdrawn so they know not to rely on it going forward.
• Any videos already recorded will still follow the normal 30-day deletion period unless they are deleted sooner by the teacher.
• Any other personal data from that school will be deleted in line with the retention schedule set out in the Data Sharing Agreement.
• Any transcript already retained for research before withdrawal will remain protected in line with the agreed research process.
