How do I add a class?

If you want to use student surveys, you'll need to add at least one class. This allows you to identify which students have provided feedback across different cohorts, classes, and time periods.

If multiple classes complete the same survey, you can view the feedback for each class individually or combine the results to identify patterns and trends in your teaching practice.

To set up a class, go to the Classes page from your dashboard and click the orange Add class button. You'll be prompted to enter a few basic details about your class.

We'll never ask you or your students for any personal or identifying information. Instead, we'll only collect the information needed to help you organise and interpret your feedback.

Once your class has been created, a single survey link will be generated for the whole class. Students can access the survey using this link without needing to log in.

Each class must have a unique name, so you won't be able to use the same class name more than once. Choose a name that helps you identify the class easily – for example, if you were teaching Year 7 Set 2 History in 2025/26, you might name it Y7S2 Hist 2526.

If your subject or year group isn't listed, simply type it into the dropdown field to create a new option.

After you've created a class, you can edit or archive it at any time from the Classes page.
